I remember the principle but not the details. I have done a search and had a look in the tuts section but I cant seem to find it. Its not Franciscos mod using the custom ring. The one I am after involved, as I recall gluing one Dw onto another after having removed teeth first. The other was a font mod using a scanned image again glued to existing DW. The tricky part is if it is modded to move the counter locations (then has transfer gears overlapping the base DW). That requires the Francisco ultra-mod.
