Pam 172 1st Serie

i would like to know who has still a pam 172 tantalium,

the absolute 1st serie with solid titanium case and steel blued hands ??

not blue painted hands !!!!!!

from which year is this model ??

I have mine Rolli and I think I got it back in 2004

I have the one that DSN put out near the end of last year. It has solid Titanium case and blued hands (like my 192), not painted.

If you wanted to know when the gen was put out, it is an F series so 2003.

davidsen had never steel blued hands, only painted.

blued steel hands are made of simple steel and blued with a flame.

davidsen did never this process with his hands.

I think DSN used what ever he was given, or ended up with. He still insists he never used a purple dial in his 228 rep, but he sure as h. did and I've got the pictures, and dials, to prove it

Perhaps I was mistaken, but they certainly did not look painted. I thought they looked just like the ones on my 192, are those painted?

Anyway, I'll take some pics tonight or tomorrow just to be sure ....

he said, he had never this kind of real blued steel hands and he cannot make it.

the 192 are real blued steel hands.

only the 1st serie of the 172 in 2004/2005 had the real blued steel hands too.

the later 172 serie had blue painted hands.

You are right, but they sure look great

Because he insisted that Purple dial was really Blue and just looked Purple in different lighting, I just don't trust what he says anymore. So I wasn't sure until I took the macro shot. The paint he used looks just like blue metal, it was even hard to take a pic of them showing the blue, because at most angles they look black just like my 192.

i also have this handset from davidsen installed and it disturbs me a lot.

it looks really cheap.
