vlydog Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Hello Community, I have been thinking about the possibilities of installing a gen dial into my "Project X" sub. I would not mind trying a no-date dial if there is one out there that will fit. Does anyone have a chart or a resource that shows modern and vintage Rolex dial diameters? Thank you
dbutlerman Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I saw one the other day, let me see if I can hunt it down...
dbutlerman Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Crap - Can't Find it...it was sometime this week - I thought it was either Freddy or Alligoat had posted in in someones thread - but I can't find it....sorry man!
ubiquitous Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Hmmmm... Not sure it would work, B. I *think* the dials measure as: 14060 - 26.8mm 16610 - 27.2mm Since the WM9 case is made for a 16610, the 14060 dial may not have enough surface area to fit behind the rehaut securely. The above are based on some scattered notes that I have so I am sure there is +/- for error... And it's been a while since I've had either of those dials in hand, so I can't do a proper measurement of them.
vlydog Posted July 29, 2010 Author Report Posted July 29, 2010 Thanks R! I am not sold on the no-date idea but it may be ruled out by the size. I wouldn't be opposed to using a gen 16610 dial or something else that may share the same dimensions.
