Hip Hop
Hi all, thought i'd post all the pics I took of this watch in one place! I am very happy with the watch so far, the only problem I have is that the bezel is slightly off center, I also haven't received my sticky ball yet so I haven't been able to check if it's got the movement I ordered! Thanks for looking, Dan!

Hip Hop
No problem! Just out of interest, if I upload these pics to my facebook/Flickr pages, is there anything that gives it away as a rep? Or a case of only experts could tell? Dan! Not a rollie expert by any means, but your pearl is flat, and your datewheel seems slightly misaligned (the dates are closer to the bottom than the top). coolfire
Awesome pics, nevertheless!
Hip Hop
I've only got an iPhone pic at the mo, but the pearl definately isn't flat, just looks it in those pics for some reason... Never noticed the misaligned dates before so I went through all the dates, but it only seems to be misaligned from 19 onwards...printing error maybe? Does anyone know how I can fix the misaligned bezel? The best way I can describe it is when you click the bezel round it can move slightly in the opposite direction, so it's perfectly aligned when it's clicked into place, but over time it works it way back to that tiny bit in the opposite direction... Jkay
You would need to use a hair dryer to warm the adhesive under the bezel insert, and then when it is soft, gently pry it up. Clean up all the adhesive residue, then re-glue the insert in it's exact and proper location. Not for the faint of heart. Your watch is a very nice example and I would feel quite comfortable posting pics of it to your Facebook, but certainly not to a "Gen" watch forum. kingkaiser
Ps: I should have said this in my prior post, but gorgeous pics and a beautiful watch. In real life, its unlikely anyone will notice the slight date misalignment from 19 onwards, and as you pointed out the pearl isnt flat. Seems like a great specimen of the DSSD in general. Which dealer is Mary btw (couldnt find the name on the dealers section)? And would you mind disclosing the price?
Hip Hop
Mary is Watch-International! You can see the watch advertised here - Latest Ult Rolex Deep Sea Dweller with correct "10" bezel One more question, as above I still haven't received my sticky ball so can't check the movement, it should be a Swiss ETA 2836-2...but having never seen a real Rolex up close, should the sweep of the seconds hand be perfectly smooth? On this rep it is smooth, but if you look closely you can see it's a fast ticking, is this how it should be? Dan!
Jkay
A 28,800 beats per hour watch movement ticks the "seconds hand" 4x per second. There is no such thing as a perfectly smooth sweep unless you are talking about an old-fashioned AC current wall clock.
kingkaiser
Another tell (which is present in every DSSD being sold by the dealers) is the thickness of the first 10 ticks on your bezel. In the gen, they're thicker than any of our reps. Hows the shine of the steel btw? Simply gorgeous DSSD though.
