Mod An Mbw 1680 W/ Genuine Dial?

Does anyone know how hard or if it's even possible to put a genuine OEM dial into an MBW 1680 Red Sub? I found one for a little under $200 but I'm worried that with the different movements that it would now work.

The genuine dial has been refinished but still is aged. Here is a pic of the dial being offered. ALso if anycan confirm if they notice this might not be an genuine dial

A gen 1680 dial will fit, but there are 2 modifications needed:

1) The diameter of the genuiner dial needs to be trimmed down slightly, as it is just a bit too large to fit in the case.

2) Dial feet need to be removed completely.

Oddly enough, the genuine Sea-Dweller dials are a drop in replacement for the 1665. They do not to be trimmed (only the 1680's).

If comparing to the pic of the dial posted in the original post, then yes. The MBW dial is certainly better.

So the back of the dial says "Singer" on it so I'm guessing it's MBW dial instead of a genuine. Who knows?

Well, there are two types of 'SINGER' dials...

MBW 'SINGER':

And genuine 'SINGER'
