Justasgood Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance, Kurt.

Justasgood Posted September 25, 2006 Author Report Posted September 25, 2006 Yes.. click on their alias / name and then the grey button on the right ---> CONTACT MEMBER Very funny.....no serious, I tried that and I got a messag that said It was not allowed because I had no past deals or current bids with that member. Did I miss something?

Did I miss something? WHAT? I was not joking... WHat you say, never happened to me and I am more than 3 years on ebay with 250 transactions... THis is the first time I hear this.

Highflyingclive Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 You can report a suspect transaction to Ebay. In theory. In fact, you have to drill down until you find something about copyright fraud. Reporting is no guarantee that Ebay will pull the auction. But it is worth a try.
Highflyingclive Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 (edited) Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance, Kurt. Can you post a link? That we we can all have a go :-) Edited September 25, 2006 by Highflyingclive
Justasgood Posted September 25, 2006 Author Report Posted September 25, 2006 Okay, now I know the problem. My wifeypoo changed the Ebay id. My past 8 years of 100% positive feedback have been wiped. My ebay id has 0 feedback . Anyway I can restore my old status? BTW, this isn't watch related and if I were certain, I'd go straight to ebay. Just feeling around abit.
kasigi Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I've had a bit of abuse back in the past from people I've contacted to tell them they're bidding on fakes. Most are appreciative of the note but some can be very abusive.
Highflyingclive Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 There at least two people floating around these forums as a result of my warning them off a suspect Ebay auction - and pointing them in the right direction.
dec Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I warn people all the time that they are bidding on fakes. Don't just say "that's a fake" though, or they might think you're trying to scare them off and win the auction yourself. Give good reasons why you believe it is not legit.
cwai02 Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 why don't you just post the link... I warn people all the time, mainly Chanel J12 (90% fake on ebay) and omega PO. (like 10%) I have 1800+ feedbacks on ebay, so people usually believe I am telling the truth. There were people who thought I was trying to scare them away so that I can win the auction for cheap. Well, I was trying to help. Btw, I always try to get the auction pulled before contacting the bidders.
sssurfer Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Some time ago I read of a member who took into the auction using as a name 'fake_and_seller_knows'
