Defender110
well i am not sure yet if my friends and family would consume enough to make it feasible(spoilage) economics aside... but FRESH GUINNESS straight from a TAP is incomparable to the bottles and i would love to install a tap at our house. anyone here have experience? to install a GUINNESS tap requires a special setup with two lines and a special mixing valve assembly.. i know i can join another forum/board and get all the info i could ever possibly use but i am trying to avoid so much internet time and spend more time in real people company so any insight would be appreciated! HauteHippie
I've done it in a backyard BBQ island. Not Guinness specifically, but a keg tap with CO2, refrigeration, etc. out the counter top. It looked (and I say "looked" because I sold that house) something like this: http://www.beveragefactory.com/refrigerators/beer/60hk.shtml But, geez, I don't think I paid even half of what they're asking for the kit. highoeyazmuhudee
tap is the way to go... that way you can also make the clover in the suds the widget from guinness is a good idea and has definitely made the canned guinness way more enjoyable, but drinking beer straight from the bottle or can is always a waste anyways.
