Repairing a Nick in a FGD Dial

Guys,

I have an FGD 205a dial that I picked up for a good price. It has a small nick in it that is down to the brass. When installed, it looks like a piece of lint (it is that small). Should I try to fix it or leave it alone? I think I could touch it up with some flat black paint, blend it in with 1500 grit sandpaper, lacquer the dial and you won't be able to see it. I could also fu@k it up beyond repair. What do you think?

Hmm, dilemma...the possibility of making it worse is always there, trust me on that one! It`s whatever you feel comfortable with, really...I would leave it personally. But, if it really really bothers you...go for it in gradual steps, with your skills, you shouldn`t have a problem! :drinks:

Not much help, just my $.02!
