BMWWW Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Hi folks, I'm on a hunt for a DSN 091, and have found a seller with an absolutely mint stocker + mods on hand for a more gen-like 091: I am not, by any stretch, an expert on watches. (Seems like all things I buy: "Buy quality cry once") So what's the appropriate value of the following, say, priced for the classifieds? - T48 crown - TiCG (Where would this be sourced from?) - SS CG Lever (Where would this be sourced from?) - SS bezel (Where would this be sourced from?) Since I don't know the specifics, I don't want to insult the seller by any means, so any help would be particularly helpful! Best regards, -G
PeteM Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I think I understand but apologies if I have your question wrong... The T is about 30 Euros But the rest depends on what they are? Are you saying they are gen? If so the CG is about $550 upwards, the bezel is about $300, If these parts are rep then it depends on source mate. There are loads of places these could of been sourced from cheap to expensive More detail mate

From the seller on RG: Not an insult at all, I'm the possible seller, and I'll chime in here to help you get some advice on prices from the board. SS CG was bought, several actually, to pull the lever out and put in to the Ti-CG because the Gen has a Ti-CG with a SS Lever. This was a real pain as it took several SS CG to find one that had the lever pin hole fit perfectly in the Ti CG case but I ended up finding one. However, both full CG's, Ti and SS, will be included so they can be made whole again if needed. Both were bought from other members on here or rwg, origin is unknown though. I believe the crown is the T60, that's his auto crown, sourced directly from the man himself. SS Brushed Bezel was bought directly from David San, pls study if ok? (DSN joke you all know what I am talking about)
Drulee Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 CG should be brushed steel, not Ti. Lever should be Ti, not steel. If you are lucky, you may be able to get a DSN low-profile SS bezel from him, but it's a roll of the die as to what you will actually receive....
BMWWW Posted November 22, 2010 Author Report Posted November 22, 2010 Hi there folks, What do you think would be a fair bid for the following: Unworn DSN 091 - T60 crown - DSN/generic sourced and fitting SS CG + Ti Lever - DSN SS bezel Unassembled: Generic DSN, + the mods, uncombined. Best regards, -Gabe
Drulee Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 DSN SS CGs are generally pretty bad, his SS auto crown is even worse (good thing it is not part of the build ). As for cost ... since DSN is still making the full Ti 091, just add base price plus the cost of changed out parts (SS bezel is around $15, T48 about $30 but not sure) plus a few bucks for changing them, I'd say $40 - $50 is reasonable, if done properly (especially since installing a T48 can be a time consuming and challenging task, plus the CG lever is being switch for a Ti one).
