slied013
Hi, I have a Datejust II with a 2824-2 movement. I am not sure if it's an Asian or a Swiss. The movement runs well, but has a issue at 0.00. It changes dates only halfway. It changes totally at 9.AM. I am considering to have it serviced or to buy a gen Swiss 2824-2 movement and then swap it, but, maybe that is a little bit exagerated. Please, give me some advice :service or swap? kbh
It's a fairly simple fix. I can't explain it properly or tell you the names of the parts but I've had a couple that developed those symptoms and it was just a matter of re-setting the date changing mechanism. An arm had slipped out of place. You do have to take the dial off to get to it though.
ubiquitous
Could also be the date overlay rubbing against the back of the dial.
