APMAN
Just received a watch back from watch smith after having a new Swiss movement put in; however it keeps stopping when the seconds are at 44/45... A shake of the wrist gets it going again! It doesn't stop every minute but always stops in the same place. Any ideas? Or back to wtchsmith? Thnx in advance

freddy333
Most likely, the seconds hand is coming into contact with something (another hand, the inside of the crystal or something on the dial), which should be pretty obvious if you view it with a magnifying glass or loupe. If not, then the movement requires service (the movements in most reps are used/unserviced & typically require a proper overhaul the day you receive the watch ).
