Why in the world would anybody buy fakes of low-end brands just to save 10-20% as compared to gens? Uggs can be had for under $160 on zappos.com any time and that's their regular price, meaning they're even cheaper when they go on sale, gen A&F cardigans are $150 on abercrombie.com (thinner ones are cheaper than the fakes, go figure,) gen Spyder jackets can be had for under $200 all over the place, gen Nike Shox are under $80, etc. And don't even get me started on the Farmani suits with comical shoulder pads that make you look like you're straight out of a bad 80's movie when you can get a decent-quality suit at Jos A Banks (their Signature Gold line isn't too bad) for under $250. I can understand a good rep of a $2000 bag for $200, which puts it in the same league as high-quality rep watches, but why the cheapies?) Just shop around and buy gen, even brands like Arc'Teryx that almost never go on sale can be found at a decent price, let alone A&F and RL.

Good point.

As with watches there has to be a very good reason not to buy the genuine article. You can get an excellent replica for 10% or less than some Gens. That makes sense.

I guess that with some heavily marked-up designer brands good bargains can be made in the rep market as well. But can you get a good quality for 10% of the Gen price?

The problem identifying good quality and finding sizes that fit has so far kept me away from the rep garments. Perhaps someone can guide us towards the really good deals?
