Beautiful watch!

Can you tell us a little more about your recipe for the build?

Thanks.

Sure mate. :)

- OEM sapphire crystal with no AR from a gen 01b

- 111J case with new crown tube

- refinished LH CG with reshaped Sead A-F CG lever

- The Zigmeister lumed matted dial

- DSN pre-v hands (I have FGD's but these matched better)

I don't remember where I got the crown.....but it's identical to my gen crowns but a tad thicker....I believe that's the same as the gen 201a. ;)

That dial is simply lovely mate :)

Would love to see some more angled pics of it ;)

Congrats mate it's really come together :)

It's hard to tell but did you reshape the case at all?

Sam you tease!!! ;)

It would be great to see the dial from an angle so you get least distortion off the crystal and can see the depth of the lume, if you know what I mean..,big boy!! ;)

Thanks Sam

Mate that dial is sweet !!

The finish is superb and that Lume job!!

I have used the 111 cases for a couple of PreA projects but as I have a 202 dial and hands from Simon I really feel the need for a PreV and it's your fault!!

You mention using Seads lever but you reshaped it was that just to fit the LH shape (curviature) or did you reshape the top of the lever as well? And what was your thinking in deciding to do that? Did you split an LH and Sead to do it or having the parts split anyway?

Thanks again mate I appreciate you taking the time mate :)

PS I don't suppose you might have a spare compression ring laying about ;) sorry for the OT ;)

Ha....ya...superb finish and lume job indeed! Zig does a fantastic job!! :)

Ya...I reshaped the top of the lever as well...I sacrificed a Sead CG just to use the lever. I really didn't like LH's lever...especially the crappy thinned out head where it touches the crown.

Compression ring? for the bezel?? PM me mate. :)

Ya...I know....a bit too high for a 201a. :p

I actually like it :) Kind of a nod to the tall pinion on vintage Panerai. I'm still thinking whether I should do the H1 or H2 to be honest. The OEM is H1:

P.S. I think if you do the lever pin with a faux "microlathe" finish it will be 100% perfect NOS look.

I have never heard it called that.... Sorry to go OT a bit Sam but would the pin on a PVD PreV that wasnt blackened also be the same finish?

Actually....I thought they were all PVDed from factory and thought the ones that weren't were refinished or just rubbed off. Haven't done too much research on the pre-a pvd PAMs. :p
