beano2004 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 I have been on the fence with putting up franken 24a for trade for a franken ap roo...... Would love to here some feedback on this... The specs are as follows: Gen 24a case set Gen crown guard Gen crown Gen dial and hands Swiss 7750 movement Rep case back... Thanks
relaxman Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Have no feedback but just wanted to say hi to a old friend...
beano2004 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 Hey buddy been a very long time ......
Watchmeister Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 He lives. Good to see you back. Good luck with the trade.
beano2004 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 Yeah this crazy economy has me traveling like a cheap salesman....... Not even sure I want to trade thought I would ask the forum for their thoughts......
Dani Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 That ROO franken should be something real special to get that in trade.
beano2004 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 So that's the million dollar question is this 24a special enough where I should just build my own franken ap.
Watchmeister Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 The headline is you should probably keep what you got. Your PAM is a far more accurate franken to the gen, The only question ia whether you have too many PAM's and the AP is a breath of fresh air.
beano2004 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 As you know I have a handful of franken pams some 1 offs but I think your right I should start an ap project thanks for confirming what I thought.
MADRED7 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 If you ask me....I would keep your 24A and start your own ROO project. I have some ROO and PAM project watches....those cost me so much effort and time and money, I will never get that back...so I better keep them untill they´re dead. Theo
beano2004 Posted March 1, 2011 Author Report Posted March 1, 2011 Thanks for the feedback often times once these projects are completed we are quick to sell or trade off I've actually had this in my collection for a little more than a year which for me is a long time..... So now I start to collect the parts for a roo project
MADRED7 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 Yes....allthough it is the hunt and search for parts to get a project started that is the icing on the cake....once done we should keep it to remind us for amount of work and money that we spent. Theo
beano2004 Posted March 1, 2011 Author Report Posted March 1, 2011 I completely agree I'm just glad I didn't have anyone tempting me it made the decision a lot easier. I look at these franken ap and they are amazing.....
