www_watch
Hi! Maybe I missed it, but I don't think this one has been discussed yet, has it? Seems pretty much spot on compared to pics of the gen. As always the date is the biggest flaw..... I wonder if they will ever get that right. Watchmeister
Unfortunately, when a model changes you get the flaws from other reps as well. On the date and magnification I am hopeful we will ultimately be able to fix the date font but the cyclops appears to be mounted in the crystal as it is on most PAM sub reps so you can't replace it. The hour markers suffer from the issue of wrong size and way to thick metallic rings around those markers. From the pictures it appears to me that the bezel is not identical to the 87 as the bezel markers look to be better positioned (closer to the outside of the bezel) on the bezel relative to the gen. The font on the bezel markers does look worse though and the markers on the gen sit much lower in the bezel. But that may just be the pics. Not trying to dissuade anyone from buying. It is still an excellent rep and I am definitely considering buying. But we should always know the good and bad.
Quarks
The bezel is incorrect in terms of dimension. The width of the bezel, supporting the markers, are not wide enough. If I can pick it up just by looking, it would probably look worse if I had it on my hand. No offense to Puretime or other dealers. Never denied the fact that we are extremely fortunate to have these reps. I was hoping for the accuracy of the 87 but clearly, this one is not up to par in my books. And from what I can see from other pictures, the thickness of the watch is not there as well. I could be wrong.
chrgod
Does anybody know whether any dealer has the "1000m" with regular Seagull ST25 Asian automatic movement?? I have a friend who really likes it, but he don't wants to pay the extra bucks for the 7750 movement.. To be honest, I cant either see the benefits with the 7750 in this one..
