With all the bashing going on I would like to say: At least they're working on it.
I almost feared this model would be neglected by the factories in favor of all the innumerable Big Bang crap and
15ish obnoxious RO Offshore versions each week.
Patience is part of the game.
So let's wait and see.
Just look at it.
This is DEFINITELY NOT the same watch.
As I already said... he mixed up some of the pics.
But wgaf about what's written there?
They updated the old listing with new pics. Simple as that.
The description was updated as well.
Hmm.... sounds like an Ofrei group order to me...
I assume these pearls are a direct fit for MBW inserts?
If so, I might be in for two.
If ordering some Omega parts along would be possible, that is.
I'm 100% with you.
Pretty disappointed after following that link.
I thought it was about a new version of the 064/087
But hey.... glad you all like it that much.
What do you wanna hear from me?
You're looking for that "perfect" rep?
This is reminding a bit of "Who has the best sub?"
I think you still have plenty of homework to do.
There is no such thing like "the perfect piece".
Whether you can pass it as a "gen" or not always depends on who you come across with it.
Simple as that.
And no... I wouldn't say I'm an expert. I just lived and learned.
So should you.
Yes. Probably even less.
After all... one opening of the lever and one turn of the crown would be enough.
I own gen and rep. I could tell one from another in the dark (no... not because of the lume.... )
Caseback engravings, movement engravings, movement screws, crown, crown guard finish, and no.... it wasn't for those
little stickers covering the S/N's. In fact I noticed these after some of the details that simply SCREAM "gen".
The factory nearly nailed it with the current pieces. But "side by side" it's still obvious.
This is just me, but if the price is right, I'd go for it.
Just because it has all the features I'd look for in a 16570:
- good date window position
- NO rehaut engraving
- nice dial
- lug holes
- it's WHITE
IMO all the rest could be fixed afterwards.
I have seen gen 16613 inserts that looked exactly like this one.
Other ones had a very light gold colour. Much lighter than the watches gold parts.
So it would be correct either way, with the lighter gold tone looking better though
