  1. I know... it's definitely not SMALL. I have a SA too and after seeing those pics I'm even more interested in one of those 187's. I thought it would wear much bigger.
  2. It looks pretty small compared to the Super Avenger.
  3. First you would have to make sure if the glass in that 213i is REALLY sapphire or if it's just a "typo" in the ad..... just like many times before.
  4. Neither is it correctly mounted, nor does the pin look weird. Loosen the two screws that hold the crown guard, turn it upside down and re-attach it. Then it looks exactly like this. Nothing more, nothing less.
  5. Seems like the crownguard is mounted upside down.
  6. So when will they open the first Rolex AD?
  7. Yes, this is the latest version. You can get it from all of the trusted dealers.
  8. Here's a close-up shot. I can't see tilt in any of the lines. It just goes perfectly in line with the hobnail texture.
  9. I usually keep my PAMs very straight OEM-like. Rubber or tan calf, sometimes black croc. But with the new 253I being that good, I thought it deserved something special. I wasn't sure which manufacturer I should go with, so I started "annoying" PeteM for a suggestion. He said "why not give Manifatture Firenze a try"... So I had a look at their shop. They offer a nice variety of leathers and all sorts of customizable features. I went for a black buffalo with blue stitch to match the 253's chrono hand. With the 115/75mm standard size always being a bit short for me, I also ordered the 130/85mm oversize which they offer without extra cost. Final cost incl. shipping was 107,- Euros which I think is pretty reasonable. Delivery took 12 days which isn't too bad either for a custom made item. It even comes in a little box and bag for storage. I really like the raw grain of the buffalo leather. It's a nice variety to the smooth calf straps I normally wear. The stitching is very well made and luckily the blue colour I chose is pretty much dead on just the way I wanted it. So here are some pics: I think that won't be the last strap I ordered from them. Thx for watching.
  10. Too bad... it's for registered users only now. I wonder how "she" managed to talk her way out of it.
  11. So you are saying it came from BK like this?
  12. That is spectacular. Congrats on this shot.
  13. So you didn't do it yourself?
  14. To make a long story short: It did continue, it did get better, the fears did not come true and last but not least: ETA couldn't spoil it.
  15. When using a tripod and even more for macro shots, make sure you switch off the VR-system on the lens. It's contra-productive for this type of photography.
  16. + 1 And I would have said the green one as well. I wouldn't even wonder if that "Vicky" was a man.
  17. I can't think of any other watch that has been raped more frequently. Maybe the Daytona some years ago. But recently the Super Avenger seems to be the target of choice.....
  18. I loved the old days. When we were competing in IASCA back then there was the tear-down rule. Any competitor who accused another one of cheating had to pay a deposit with the judges. They then checked the car and sometimes the tear-down was carried out. If the competitor was found to be cheating, the money was paid back to the one calling him out. If not... the dough belonged to the accused member for him to pay for any inconvenience he might have had while being falsely accused. If rules like that would be practicable in the virtual world, we might have fewer threads like this one here.
  19. Yes, but they're WAY too pronounced on the swiss7753 rep. On the gen you sometimes don't even see them. So I guess i would prefer the newer version.
  20. Seems like Puretime is offering these as well: 6497-2 As I understand, this is only available as an "upgrade", so none of the watches currently available come with this specific movement. Maybe I should get me one or two of these as spares....
  21. Would love to see one from them too.... But I think that's NOT going to happen.
  22. There it is on Andrew's site: 087 Sub Even though it's the notorious "crooked markers" version, I sent an enquiry but he did not answer. So I guess that's been it......
