5004 BP questions

....this is not a "who has the best 5004" thread, and before you ask: yes, I tried a search...

I read on several dealer sites about the updated hands. can anyone please enlight me what that means?

does it mean that the hands have now correct length, and the balancer of the seconds hand is correct, too?

is the date wheel still a little recessed also on the newest models?

The first batches of 5004 Big Pilots had very thin and narrow hands from the older model. The updated hands refers to the newer version where they fitted more accurate thicker minutes and hour hands.
