Touch wood, so far all my 7750s (none of them serviced) have not had any issues at all over the last 3 years. I think they are a great movement, and since you never really know what you are getting when you order 'Swiss' movements from our dealers I think the Asian version is great value and a good work horse.
Sounds like a loo
se rotor, very common issue. Just open the case back to check. It could be as simple as tightening it with a screwdriver (gently) until it is in place and able to wind the movement.
It is the V1 with a white number on black datewheel. The lupe needs to be square and the crowns need to be bigger. Among other things... Can't wait to get mine once the V8 is out.
The first batches of 5004 Big Pilots had very thin and narrow hands from the older model. The updated hands refers to the newer version where they fitted more accurate thicker minutes and hour hands.
I am always amazed at how angry some forums can get over something that really only seems to dig out their personal and social insecurities. Just because you spend a fortune on a watch does not make you a person of taste and greatness, it just means you prioritised something over something else. Buying and trying reps is a very cost effective way of trying different watches out and enables you to play and mod them without risking major amounts of money should things not go to plan. That is the clever way...
Good to see a mature attitude. All forums have their place, and many members here are members at the others, the only critism of a forum I have is when it gets childish...
Anyway, as to the new 111, I'll wait to see what the newer version is like in the new year and then make my judgement. It looks many times better than what has been currently out on the market.
Well on mine it has AR but it is not very blue which is perfect (BP 5004 with faux power reserve and updated hands). I hate the bright blue reflection on most reps. My BP has a clear crystal and it is no problem reading it at all.
The quartz and auto reps are the same case depth. But the rehaut on the quartz is deeper (ie the dial sits lower) than on the secs at 12. Only really noticable once you put them side by side.
