subbiesrock Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 (edited) Post title should have read: "BaselWorld 2011 - New Breitling offerings" Breitling Chronospace Automatic From 'Watches of Switzerland', BaselWorld 2011: A solid 46mm case houses the Calibre 23 movement of the Breitling Chronospace Automatic - including a 1/4th of a second chronograph, 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers. Distinguished by exceptional design, the unusual star-shape ensures ease of use even when wearing gloves (a must for the professional pilot). The bidirectional rotating bezel ensures simple and easy handling of the circular slide to perform all calculations for airborne navigation. The numerals are accentuated by a luminescent coating, for maximum readability, with four dial colours available - Volcano Black, Mariner Blue, Tungsten Grey and Stratus Silver. Water resistant to 200 metres. Breitling for Bentley Bernato Racing From 'Watches of Switzerland', BaselWorld 2011: Joel Woolf Barnato (27 September 1895 – 27 July 1948) was a British financier and racing driver, one of the "Bentley Boys" of the 1920s. He achieved three consecutive wins out of three entries in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The new Breitling for Bentley Barnato Racing series pays tribute to Barnato and they "Bentley Boys" who famously won the race five times. The Bentley Barnato Racing special series features a spectacular design that makes it the most original of all Breitling for Bentley chronographs. The pointer-type counters are replaced by a highly original disc-type counter system displaying the hours and minutes of the measured time by means of two red triangles. The openworked shape of the silver-toned discs is reminiscent of the steering wheels on the famous Bentley models. The 49mm stainless steel case houses the Breitling Calibre 25B movement with unique 30-second chronograph. An 18ct red gold version is available in limited release (500 pieces). Water resistant to 100 metres. What do you guys think of the direction of Breitling with these new pieces? I'm loving the Bentley... Edited April 13, 2011 by subbiesrock
