JUAN77
Hi all, I ask for your help. The issue is that for some time came into my hands a number of gen components of this model. The pieces are: dial, hands, insert, crown, pins, etc. It's belonged to a rolex submariner 16610 T Series (1996, tritium dial, lug holes, Armix 93150, etc.).. My idea is to make a franken and I need your help: Which model to buy and who It has, for these parts are compatible? To improve glass and tube, that part aftemarket, where I can buy? I appreciate that I pusiéraislos links (if possible). Thanks and sorry for my english
FxrAndy
I would say that you want a WM9 v2 ,case get the lugs drilled (you will find this part hard and no one likes doing it) and a movement holder made to hold the movement to the dial, the holder also need to have a recess for the dial to sit in to hold it central (i had a month long battle trying to get it all to sit straight before i had a new holder made up) Unless you are using a gen movement the hands wont fit, i would say clarks if you are using an ETA movement. slied013
I have a WM9 V2 which was modded with gen crown, dial, crystal and insert. Tube is from Clarks. It's the watch FxrAndy is talking about. It's awesome and my daily beater. So, look for a WM9 V2 and you will like it.
JUAN77
Thanks for your responses. I understand that this project is not as easy as I thought. Thanks!!
FxrAndy
But possible, I am looking into the lug drilling with diamonds to start the holes off, just looking for some cases to try it on, I have a movement holder that will fit with a bit of adjustment depending on the movement you want to use, but it not an easy straight forward job for sure
