MADRED7 Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 Hi guys, just came accross a new NAVITIMER and COSMONAUTE.....and I am really tempted. What do you guys think about? Does it have a reall 24 hour working 7750? The last time I had a NAVITIMER is 20 years ago (gen of course). Let me know, Theo
MADRED7 Posted May 6, 2011 Author Report Posted May 6, 2011 I don´t wanna use their pics.....but its on Joshs and Andrews website. Theo
andreww Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 Not sure but I think this might be the same Cosmonaut that Silix started carrying about six months ago...
MADRED7 Posted May 6, 2011 Author Report Posted May 6, 2011 ...and is it any good? I am a complete numb when it comes to Breitling. Theo
MADRED7 Posted May 6, 2011 Author Report Posted May 6, 2011 OK....I see the date is wrongly placed. Theo
andreww Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 It's not a bad rep of the cosmonaut, as good as it is likely to get anyways. The obvious flaws are the improperly positioned date window, wrong date font, symmetrical crown and pushers, wrong caseback, and most importantly the lack of a 24 hour movement.
ExtraExtra Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 With all those differences, why waste time and resources making one?
watchluver Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 I agree, why do the factories have such a hard time on this watch?
andreww Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Because this really isn't a new watch. They just put a different dial on the existing 3-6-9 Navi and called it a Cosmonaut. They've done the same thing numerous times with various special edition Navis.
