What does this mean on the USPS tracking page, is it in the states or still overseas?

Status: Foreign Acceptance

Your item was accepted in TAIWAN on March 23, 2006 at 4:45 pm. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

Thanks

The updates are only as good as the scans of the packages. As this was accepted in Taiwan yesterday, their time, it will not be updated until the package enters the US Postal Service system. That will not happen until it clears customs, probably in San Francisco.

As somebody mentioned yesterday, tracking of packages is pretty useless. It is totally dependent upon somebody actually scanning the object. I have had packages where the tracking indicated it was still in customs, while in fact the package had been delivered. Don't worry about it. It will just drive you nuts.

Some advice,

Give it up to 14 days to arrive, then use the tracking number and see if it's been seized.

Appreciate your current watches while you wait, as they'll take a back seat once the new one(s) arrive.

:yeah:

Don't worry too much about tracking with the USPS. They only update once a day and usually they're a few days behind. Several times I've ordered something and it arrived before any tracking information was put in the system.

UPS and Fedex are much better at tracking. Their sites are typically updated several times per day. You'll be able to see when your package is on the way to your house from you local station before it shows up.

The USPS is way behind the times when it come to tracking (at least in the US).
