Hey everyone! First off I want to say how awesome this website is! I have owned many genuine watches in the last couple of years most breitling and tag but I just recently purchased my very first rep rolex which is a gmt master ii ceramic and I thought I was getting a decent grade rep. But I think I was had. Can anyone help me out on this? Like give me some things to look for? My first clue is that there is what appears to be an 18k in a circle on the back case?

Welcome to the forum bud...:)

When asking q's about your watch, always a good idea to add some pics of the particular one you have for the guys to see, shot of the front and caseback, easier to get opinions on what ya have.

Best way to determine how 'off' your rep is is to visit your local AD (Rolex authorized dealer) & try the gen on. Learn how it looks/feels on your wrist. Operate all the controls so you can get a feel for its fit & finish. Then, when you get home, download a bunch of pics of gens from google & gen watch forums. Once you are familiar with the gen, you will be able to pick out the differences between it & your rep, & you will then be able to judge for yourself which reps contain the fewest inaccuracies or at least which set of inaccuracies offend YOU the least.

Just to be clear: DO NOT BRING YOUR REP TO THE AD. Ever!!

This makes the comparison a bit more difficult, but still possible.

Correct. The purpose of the AD trip is to see/try on the gen, not to show-off/compare your rep.
