wat44 Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 how can I remove the clasp from the band please?
mjmj Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 You see the screw in the middle of the clasp in your 1st pic? well you unscrew that and then push out the bar that sits in the leather loop. That bar holds the middle part of the clasp in place. Just be careful with the small screw as it can get lost if you drop it. Good luck!!!
chronoluvvv Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 you guys are pretty hi-tech i just used brute force to shove it inside my gen rubber ............ much like other aspects of my life
wat44 Posted July 23, 2011 Author Report Posted July 23, 2011 hmmm - the little screw on mine just goes round and round....
mjmj Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 I guess try what Chronoluvv suggested just push that bar or try tapping it to see if the screw is loose enough to fall out.
mm..mm Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 (edited) Yes you just need to remove the little screw and all the rest comes out. All I got an extra TI clasp Anyone interested? Edited July 23, 2011 by MM..MM
chronoluvvv Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 the AP clasp is a lot like my Chopard GTXL's clasp i actually unscrewed the screw on the Chopard to get the leather replacement on, didn't have to with the AP since ... well its gen rubber & soft as can be it took me the better part of 20 minutes to get the screw back in the clasp though
MADRED7 Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 If the thread is stripped....just try to push the pin out, after you did that, you need to remove the little screw, not really a need for it though. Theo
