What am I getting for $600?

I'm looking at a Pam90 with sapphire glass, asian movement, real SS bracelet. It's a stunning watch, and it ran ~$300.

I've found two dealers who sell the Pam90 with the same specs as above, but with an ETA movement for ~$600.

I don't know what the exact ETA movement is in the more expensive version - but given that the ETA 2824 runs $50-70 range, what am I really getting for the money?

And can I just buy an ETA movement and swap it with the asian?

I think the Pam90 comes with an asian 7750, but I'm not sure. It has running seconds in the 9 o'clock position.

sounds pricey to me, who are the dealers?

Given what it costs to service a 7750, it's not THAT pricy in the overall scheme of things, but I wanted to ask others to see what the reason was for the cost.

I was quoted just under $800 for another pam that contained a swiss movement.

The 187? or old case 196?

The most I've found a PAM was just over 700, but other dealers may have a slightly cheaper price.
