Charleston Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 Wanting to a nice 40mm-42mm Pam, any suggestions on who to go to? Any personal experiences? Thanks Dave 1
PeteM Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 The PAM is a 40mm or the Rads are a 42mm (not sure if that size is repped) The best OTB 40mm is from MBW, who sources from Twn. These are also expensive (about $500) and will need a bit of modding to look pukka (DW mainly and lume) but not much and only if you know its shortcoming or more importantly if you care... but that is being picky.. The MBWs can be sourced from Reg (Narikka) or a dealer on RG but cant recall his name.. or you can get what is a Twn 40mm and more or less exactly the same as the MBW for about 100-150 dollars less from Rob at PWC (prestige watch company) on RWI etc Or you can go for the cheaper versions which are not bad but again depends on how anal you are when it comes to reps but these have all the usual gripes you get with PAM reps... poor lume, bad crystal, dial CG etc etc These can be got from most dealers for around 120-150 dollars Good luck
HPoirot Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) For what it's worth, 44mm doesn't look that bad on a small wrist. My gal has petite wrist and wears a 111 nicely. Even though she has to make extra holes in the standard strap. ~50mm away from the lug. And to answer your question, there aren't any super reps for 40mm pams. I know because i was checking them out just 2 weeks ago before settling on the 111 for her. Watcheden has some though. Edited August 1, 2011 by HPoirot
