bklm1234
in terms of durability. I understand those with second at 6 should be avoided (is it 11 gears to get the second at 6?). Is the 6, 9, 12 configuration (like IWC GST) better than the 3, 6, 9 (like Panerai Daylight) configuration? Thanks. Rikske
The 6-9-12 (running seconds at 9) is best because this is the original 7750 layout (no mods required). The 3-6-9 with running seconds at 9 requires 3 additional gears to move the minutes subdial to the 3 position and results in the datewheel sitting too deep. The 3-6-9 with running seconds at 6 requires 11 additional gears to move the minutes subdial to the 3 and the running seconds subdial to the 6 position. Here also the datewheel sits too low and power and durability problems are to be expected. For details please see The Zigmeister' s reviews. andreww
Basically stay away from any 7750 with seconds at six, or with GMT.
