Good find. I remember this concert but could not go to it. I followed him through University and loved his work. Even when it started changing and got everyone [censored] off, I still liked it. My favorites are Knockin on Heavens Door and Just like a Women.

Yes, he's anchored profoundly in my soul - and has been since almost the beginning....

Speaking of 'Knockng' - I came across a beautiful version on the U-Tube last night and will try to find it again - incredible harmonica work by Dylan and a duet with either Tom Petty or Roger McGuinn (it was in the wee hours of the morning and things were getting blurry)....

In the meantime, here's a very rare non-musical document: a silent black-and-white 58-second 'screen test' of Dylan by Andy Warhol, probably shot in late '64 or 1965.

It's amazing what Dylan manages to project in those few instants - I've never seen anything quite like it....

A truly sublime version of 'Heaven's Door' with Tom Petty: even slightly off-key, Dylans harmonica intro sounds majestic. By the time the song ends, we're all knocking on that Door....

Just listened again (and again).....in the same way that 'Like a Rolling Stone' is considered to be the greatest Rock song ever written, I wonder if this isn't the definitive 'Great American Song'....?
