jtiis
I've got a lug screw that doesn't want to come out on my 210. I'm wondering if the lug screw holes access the cavity for the movement itself or only "L" shape out for the lug itself. Information from those who know would be most helpful. TIA. subbiesrock
The screw accesses part of the screw hole until it locks into the notch in the bar. The force of the thread on the screw is enough to hold the bar in place. The issue you have is that part of the screw thread is stripped. You need to simply unscrew it and replace. I might be able to assist with a spare lug screw, shoot me a PM and I'll post you one
jtiis
THanks for the reply. I wish that were my only problem. The watch is great and the threads are fine - but this one screw kept coming loose so i made the mistake of loctite-ing it. Now,I want to try something to loosen it (heat didn't work- whic is usually recommended) but I want to make sure the screw/lug hole doesn't go into the cavity for the movement itself. I already purchased Panatines lug/screw set to use - just want to get that darn screw out. Anyone know the answer? TIA
subbiesrock
Confirm this before you go and do it, but I reckon nail polish remover will do the job, it's mostly acetone don't breathe that stuff in, smells nice but fries your brain Good luck!
