How Do You Guys Like Your Ap's?

Seeing as I am posting it here, I would imagine you like them quite a bit. I ask because I just sold my SS HBB with RG Bezel. I always got a lot of compliments on it, but I felt it was just too much. I am currently wearing a vintagized 6536 for a comparison. I am thinking about an AP, what do you think? Will I find it too flashy?

IMO the RO is far from flashy. Iconic, classy, and classic.

The ROO series however can be viewed as LARGE, as well as flashy.

Look at the sport and celebrity figures wearing the ROO series, and you will see what I mean.

I am currently wearing the AP Diver. Although classified as a ROO, it is a classic look, more similar to a RO,

rather than a ROO.

THe RO, designed by Gerald Genta, will always be considered a true s/s classic. The current AP diver carries on that tradition.

The AP ROO is large. It is 44mm with 15-17mm of height. I do think it is about as classic (and elegant) as one gets for a large SS sports watch though. It will wear as big if not bigger than your HBB. If you are happier with the size of a 6536 I would echo the sentiment of picking a traditoinal RO Jumbo.

Thanks, I'll have to check out the RO. I live my 6356 but I love my fiddy as well, I'm ok with big watches but the 1950 is understated - HBB's rose gold bezel was what did it I think, maybe just the pure thickness of the 7750

Well now that every character on Entourage wears a ROO it has lost some mystique....
