al qaeda with cheese Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 I have a DSSD and the winding stem broke. It is a ETA 2836-2 and I ordered the winding stems and they are too small. what do I order to make this a working watch again?

freddy333 Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Who did you order the stem from & are you sure it is new/unused? New stems are always much longer than required & must be cut to fit. If your stem is too short, something is wrong.

Katt watch service is a forum trusted (not this forum) watch tech shop in MN, and can fix your problem for a few dollars. send a mail to gkloner@gmail.com for shipping info. highly highly recommended. I just got 2 watches back from him yesterday, and they were only sent to him a week ago. $50 to fix both including shipping costs and PP fees. friendly, quick and good work.
