krim Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 I have asked steveostraps to make me a custom strap and he requires the measurements to get it correct. Anyone have them to hand please
Yannou Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 They are the same as the ROO... Yannou
Watchmeister Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 I don't have the strap with me but someone needs to measure the buckle end.
krim Posted September 29, 2011 Author Report Posted September 29, 2011 Would anyone have the measurements for the ROO, don't have my watch with me so am unable to take exact measurements
Yannou Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 I don't have the strap with me but someone needs to measure the buckle end. 18 mm
eunomians Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 18 mm It's wider than that, 24mm. AP Bands wide buckle is only 22mm, so you can't use the rep buckle with an AP Bands strap. And the AP Bands 22mm buckle costs $85 lol! If you want a leather strap to fit with the rep buckle, you need one custom made $$$
Watchmeister Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 As was mentioned the buckle end is in fact 24mm on the gen Diver strap and the standard "Wide Taper" on AP Bands is actually less than that. For folks who are interested AP Bands does make one strap which fits the diver buckle and it is the black horn back. Otherwise you have to go custom with them.
eunomians Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 To further elaborate Watchmeister's post above... The AP Bands hornback that fits the diver buckle was intentionally made for the Survivor. Please note that the Survivor buckle is the same size as the Diver 24mm buckle. Also note that the strap holes for the buckle for both the Diver buckle & the Survivor buckle are rectangular in shape (not the typical circular hole). Cheers
Watchmeister Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 So true. The diver/survivor buckle has the biggest tong I have ever seen.
