NOTE: I posted this in the movement section with little response! Help me out guys!

I am curious if this could be done? Would it affect the movement at all?

My main worry is the chrome flaking off into the movement. Does this happen?

Im trying to go for something like this...

What process would you guys recommend?

EDIT: THIS IS JUST ME IN PHOTOSHOP TRYING TO CONVEY THE LOOK THAT I WANT. It is not a sticker and is not chromed... yet! I WANT A BLUE FINISH LIKE THIS PIC!

Isn't anodizing just for Al?

i used to think that, i found that pic by searching "anodizing stainless steel" same process i believe. i just know that they CAN do stainless as well.

Interesting. I knew there were colored "chrome" processes but I always thought anodizing was limited to aluminum.
