blue_sphere
NOTE: I posted this in the movement section with little response! Help me out guys! I am curious if this could be done? Would it affect the movement at all? My main worry is the chrome flaking off into the movement. Does this happen? Im trying to go for something like this... What process would you guys recommend? EDIT: THIS IS JUST ME IN PHOTOSHOP TRYING TO CONVEY THE LOOK THAT I WANT. It is not a sticker and is not chromed... yet! I WANT A BLUE FINISH LIKE THIS PIC! sempire
why don't you get it powdercoated or something?
penaduny
anodize it! here is a pic off google images. anodizing will give the almost the same look as in your photchop. they have places that do it everywhere, and they sell kits as well. blue_sphere
So after reading up you can Adonize stainless steel, I am leaning towards powercoating though as I want a very dark blue and its seems like the paint coat would weigh less. Interesting. I knew there were colored "chrome" processes but I always thought anodizing was limited to aluminum.
