freeflypr Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 Could anybody help me identify this Rolex Movement? it's 35.9mm Does it look modify or anything wrong, odd? I noticed the regulator letters are in a different color, does that mean something? What are your thoughts? Thanks
burnz Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 Yes, sure looks like a 618 to me.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
projectologist Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 Yes, definitely a 618, but not the same version Panerai used. It's a beautiful movement... nice find!
freeflypr Posted October 16, 2011 Author Report Posted October 16, 2011 Thanks for the feedback guys!!

louky Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 If it is a 618 it shouls have a cortbert hallmar under the balance wheel! Keep in mind that Rolex used other supliers before cortbert for their pocket watches before. The 618 was never used in a pocket watch from Rolex.
Watchmeister Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Very nice movement. Great find. I love the "winding wheels" and the hypnotic swirl.
