I ended up with looking at these two which I believe are the only choices: http://www.puretimew...-leather-strap/ and http://www.yourtrust...roducts_id=8477 The one from puretime is obviously Version 2 and I'm guessing the other one from trusty is version 1? I'm assuming the version 2 is newer and better/more accurate and better made model, there is a slight price difference as well. In their pirctures the PVD finish looks completely different, I'm guessing they are probably the same but the photos were taken at completely different exposure settings. Could you please tell me what are the main differences between those two models and which one would be the best choice to get? I'm also interested in switching the Asian movement that I assume is crap to Swiss Unitas 6497-1 from http://www.ofrei.com/page_183.html the FB-3016-HF - $148. Thanks in advance for any advice. V2 is better except the following Case is a bit darker in color. I think no big deal. Dial lume is a bit on the orange side but v1 is a bit on the light side. Big plus for the v2 is that the case is shaped closer to gen, it has the better movement and it seems to have a better strap. I will be ordering the v2 myself in short order. mikellem Posted December 30, 2011 Report Share Posted December 30, 2011 Their is noting wrong with the Asian Movement. I would not go to the trouble of buying a swiss ETA and paying to install it. The asian movement if serviced, will give you many years of life.. Yes would I rather have the Swiss ETA, sure i would, except not for that amount of money. Maybe down the road years later if you have movement problems (which I don't think you will), then swap it out for the Swiss movement. Swiss movements are almost extinct, so if have Swiss on the brain, which is ok... maybe purchase a swiss movement and put it away.. MM Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm glad to hear that the movemen is not really as bad as I thought. I just had a bad experience with Asian movement that died even after being serviced, while my "Swiss" reps keep going strong even after close to 7 years of use. perry563 Posted December 30, 2011 Report Share Posted December 30, 2011 Actually not that much difference in case color in daylight conditions. If you look at the gen it also can appear pretty dark in color in some pics. Case shape with the v1 is wrong and you can't change that. Also the v2 has the better movement and strap. Biggest issue with the V2 is the lume color but as mentioned you can always swap in a Davidsen dial with all the bells and whistles if need be in the future. I have looked at and downloaded quite many pics of a gen that were shot in many lighting conditions and I downloaded video that puretime has on his site. Looks like V2 is definitely a better choice, although not quite perfect, especially the lume color, it is still a cool Pvd. And I wanted base Pvd for a long time now. One thing I noticed on a gen is that some tips of the CG lever were different between watches which was weird, some were closer to the case then others Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hont watch wrote an article say that there is no comparison in the coating. Hont watch is even selling Kuvarsitwatch.com 360 case and crystal only for special modded versions. I hear the color of the 360 is much more closest to get. Very responsive dealer, honest, intelligent and ships very fast. lfovco Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 20, 2012 I finally had some time to check it out. I like this one the most out of all versions I have seen I think. I noticed that the CG lever is much better in the then the V1.2. Although not perfect it is more rounded like the Gen where in the V1.2 it is way too pointy.
