vandal.tbh
I'm not an expert, but I'm almost positive that the omega is a rep. The serials at the ends of the bracelet are upside down. Also, just by the way the dude describes it ("couldn't tell you much information", "couldn't tell you the history", etc) tells me he's just trying to cover his @$$ if he gets caught. He knows it's a rep and he just ripped some poor guy out of a lot of money. I hope someone reported him... vandal.tbh
I just sent the buyer this message: "The auction for the Omega bracelet you recently purchased was posted up on a watch forum as being suspected as a fake. I took a look at it and I am almost positive it is a bracelet from a replica watch. The serial numbers at the end of the bracelet (951) are upside down. You may want to take the bracelet to an Omega authorized dealer and have it checked to be sure. The way the seller describes that he doesn't have any knowledge of the bracelet is also very suspicious. Just wanted you to know because I have been scammed on eBay in the past and if you do find out it's fake, there's still time for you to get your money back through eBay claim process. If you're sure it's real or don't care if it's fake, then I apologize for bothering you. Best of luck!" vandal.tbh
Funny thing is, now I'm not so sure about the number being upside down! Hope I didn't cause trouble. Can someone confirm?
Tucker
I think you are pretty safe. His description alone is very suspect. I've owned a gen Omega 2531.80 and I remember the small raised bump (for lack of a better term) on the smooth clasp area was more prominent than the one displayed in the second photo. correctime
The Omega Bracelet isn't gen. At least the SEL's and the clasp aren't. Edited February 8, 2012 by correctime
vandal.tbh
Well, this dip$hit never replied back to me, so I hope he likes his expensive fake bracelet. The stupid punish themselves.
