Looking For A Panerai 111h

Hi,

I'm new into this replica world but I have been reading up on quite a bit over the forums.

The only contact with watchreplicas I've had have been bad, but most likely because they were really cheap replicas. The view I get from reading this forum is that the replicas sold by the vendors on here are pretty well made, almost like the gen? Personally the thing I look in watches are how they look, not much in how they function, mechanically that is. Of course I want a functioning watch. :D

So, my questions? Well here they are:

1. I'm certain I want a Panerai 111H with a Steel band.

2. Where is the best place to get one? Do the different vendors differ much in price/quality?

3. Should I get the Asian or Swiss version? Can you please explain the difference in function/looks/quality?

4. Is it water-resistant?

5. If I understood correctly this watch is manual, never had one of those before, can I get a quick answer on what that means? I've understood you have to do something to it everyday for it to hold time?

The most important thing to me is that the watch looks good, and actually works without breaking, as I said before, the replicas I've seen before have broken within a month, almost always the screw holding the bracelet fails.

Is the Swiss worth the money over the Asian, and if so, why?

Hopefully I'll get some good answers and then the 111H I want. :)

Thanks in advance!

What's your budget? Mine was $110 from Silix-Prime with a leather strap. You can pay more for better quality if you want.

You need to wind it up. Grik-grik-grik.

As I said I've searched! I'm not new to forums, I promise. ;)

My questions weren't that hard were they? I don't need a big writeup, just a few lines on how the replicas work, do they work? Or do they break often and easily?

My budget is as cheap as possible but I'm willing to pay more if it means the watch will work for a long time, I will be using it as a daily watch.

Thanks again, I understand I'm not the first with questions but please bare with me.

The replicas work.. since you're looking for an 111h, I am assuming you are looking for mechanical replicas?

These mechanical watches follow the same rule of any mechanical contraption (including genuine watches too): they have mechanical parts that will be subject to wear and tear. In the case of replicas, the Quality Control is not very good, so the 'engine' so to speak, will be sometimes dirty, sometimes clean, sometimes lubed, sometimes dry..

All these questions are not hard, but can be found if you frequent the forums for, well, say 3 days and you invest time in researching around it; your questions have been asked frequently by other forum members in the past.

I was once a newbie too, and still am a newbie in many areas, but do take your time and slowly digest the information this site has to offer.

Cheers and welcome! :victory:
