grifter
I just got this from Sead this morning. I'm very impressed with it! Sead was great and delivery was super fast. I am no Omega expert, so please tell me what you see that needs changing. Let me know the order of urgency also. I bought this as a long term side project to do while I wait for other projects to bloom. Thanks!
Jkay
The crown and tube are an inexpensive and necessary fix. At your leisure, you may replace the clasp, dial, crystal and the hands.
cougar1
Yep as an out of the box rep, it look pretty damn good, only question now is how much do you want to spend to make it perfect The pearl is very decent considering some, so you could put off the bezel, as said crown and tube are almost a necessity on these. Either relume or gen dial needed as rep vs gen lume is night and day difference. An improvement to the AR rather than shelling out for a crystal and this would look shiite hot. So all in all, exactly as Jkay said
fischyyy
Yeah most has been said, Crown/Tube and Lume are the ones I would start with, everything else really is a bonus and not really necessary.
Jkay
Instead of paying for a high quality lume job, pay for gen hands and dial. Seriously. You can pay for a bargain lume job but .... You will regret it.
WetWork
Jkay, where would one get those parts? Do you have any links or anything?
Jkay
Omega does not strictly restrict their parts like Rolex does. If you contact watch parts webstores like Otto Frei, or Jules Borel or CousinsUK, they will have what you want. There are complete parts numbers lists here on this forum in archived discussions. WetWork
Thanks. I'll check that out. What about something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/310362864382 Is that the price range one should pay?
