pacesi
Hi guys, Any help will be appreciated, maybe is me. This is my first replica and manual watch. I just got a Pam 177 from josh. As per instructions I wind it all the way clockwise. I pushed the crown in and pull it out out again looking for the click on the position to set the time. I feel it but hands don't move when I move the crown counterclockwise. It clicks but does not engage, I guess. Watch is ticking so is wind and and is running in the time where it started it from. So I have not been able to set the time yet.
Mills
Sounds like the stem locking screw. I had the same issue and it was an easy fix. Have a look here
pacesi
Thanks Mills. I will look in to it after I talk to seller.
pacesi
Thanks Mills for your quick reply. The seller asked me to take the CG off and effectively the stem came out with crown and everything so the seller is taking back and sending a replacement. plaifender
easy fix. I'm guessing the stem simply wasn't engaged in the movement. About a 3 minutes job for a noob... you probably shouldn't have sent it back.... if the next one has low power reserve (god forbid it gets seized by customs on its second time around) or something worse, then you'll really regret having sent it back! They probably won't replace anything for you though to be honest. They'll probably, remove the crown gauard, take off the caseback and reset the stem.. (the 3 minute fix i was talking about earlier) Here's to another month of waiting...
