Datewheel swap: DG4813 ---> Miyota 8215

Hi All,

I just bought a watch with a lousy movement and I wanted to replace it with a brand new Miyota 8215 that has been in my drawer for months.

Unfortunately It seems like the datewheel swap 's not so simple:

Miyota uses a particular datewheel.

Is there some solution or trick?

Scan your replica date wheel then print it out on a variety of papers until you are happy with the look an texture. From the print-out, create a date wheel overlay and stick it to the Miyota movement's unique date wheel.

Uhmm...sounds too complicated and not easy at all, moreover misalignment would be likely to say the least

I'd better get rid of the Miyota and buy a new movement if there's no way to use the A21j datewheel I have.
