Good source for a Generic tropic 21 with the angle/facetted corners

Everybody Hi,

Did anyone can give me a good source for generic / replacement tropic 21 with angled/facetted corners?

Clarks' ones are ok but with rounded corners and I don't have the cash to go for a gen.

Does anyone know whether the JandK tropic 21 will fit a DW 6263 case? Does the crystal fit but bezel need shaving?

I put a couple of gen Tropic 21s on my DWs. Indeed you need to shave the bezel, but I found it easier to shave then polish the outer edge of the plastic crystal instead. If the J&K crystal is a direct replacement for the Rolex one, something will need to be shaved. I also tried the rounded generic replacement that I can get from my parts supplier and it too needs shaving, indicating that the DW bezel is slightly undersized, probably because of the crystals he could get when originally fabricating his product. Don't force it, as you will crack the insert on a DW 6263 bezel.

Sorry to be a noob but what I understand is that the tropic 21 fits the case but either the crystal and/or bezel needs to be shaved?

What tools are recommended for shaving?

DW's Daytona cases are made to fit aftermarket crystals, which are slightly lighter gauge (thinner material) than gen crystals, which is why you usually have to grind a bit of material off the inside circumference of the bezel to get it to fit over the gen crystal.
