Donerix 2.0 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 I use a burning cigarette held close to the pearl. Works well for me... As for the insert: I have had good results with 50/50 water and bleach. That way you have a bit more control over how much paint you bleach off at each go. But I have found out that different inserts react differently and that not all brands of bleach are equally strong (my preferred bleach is Magica Blanca, but it might only be sold in Latin America...
