Chipped Black Paint Off Pam Hands

Recommended Posts

Everyone who's worked on a Pannie knows how easy it is to chip a little black paint off the edge of the minutes hand when removing them.

How do you guys camoflauge the exposed steel? I'm looking for some sort of simple touch-up paint-applying pen kind of device. If anyone could point me to an easy solution without me having to use a can of spraypaint, I'd appreciate it.

Try using a black felt tipped marker. If it's a minute section the black felt with disguise it well. Good luck.

Just remember fine point , and different brand markers have a slightly different color black, you have to experiment....................JKT

Re-spray with modellers matte black enamel paint (I use a Tamiya paint). Touching with a brush can be difficult as the tiny amount of paint needed can start to dry before its laid down. I always spray them as it's vey quick drying and gives a nice even finish.

That is a good idea with the spray, I will try that.

I use a water base paint and that solves the fast drying problem when I use a brush though.
