GMT Master II - What do you guys think? Opinions please

I personally think that it looks pretty good, the only problem with buying two tone reps in my opinion is that the gold tone often doesn't resemble the luster and color of true gold. I would personally go with a 16710 gmt master in ss or if you like the ceramic then get one in ss. just my opinion however, if you like it go with it it, like i said overall it looks pretty good.

I have a similar two-tone, but I think mine came from Josh. Excepting the incorrectly ordered handstack (on the gen, the hour hand is at the bottom) & incorrectly style & typical mis-alignment of the ROLEXROLEXROLEX around the inner case flange below the crystal, I think the two-tone rep GMTII is a nice looking watch (if you are into two-tone)

The problem with (flashed/plated/laser-deposited, whatever marketing hyperbole the seller wishes to use) gold on reps is its limited lifespan. With gold being so costly, there is not likely to be very much of it on a $200-$300 rep watch, so two-tone (or 'solid' gold) reps are best worn infrequently & in safe environments. Remember that gold on modern Rolex watches is solid & if your rep gets scratched, you will see the underlying steel, which turns a nice rep into an obvious fake. :bangin:

Unless you really have your heart set in two-tone (& are very careful), it is always best to stick with steel.
