Guest abasf Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Good day RWG, im a new comer with a panerai rep 247 from sead which i like a lot... i wanted to do some minor fixes and considering this is my first attempt i was wondering if these little mods would be possible and if any of you guys have tips... so the watch, added some olive oil to darken the strap here are the changes i want to make possible... flush screws and flush CG now i think i might have to make new threads.... what do you guys think
Cats Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Did you get the watch from Sead with that crown guard fitting or did you unscrew it yourself ??. At least the crown guard should sit flush to the case. I don't think you have to do a lot on this watch. One of the most important flaws is the canon pinion which isn't flat. ( it has a little pointy mountain in the center ) It's a fix which i can't do my self ( cause i don't have the tools and skills ) but maybe you have the skills to do so. Good luck. Cats
Guest abasf Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 i received the watch like that... didnt touch anything except for the strap
Cats Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Then i should get in contact with your dealer if i were you. Might be a simple fix to tighten the screw in side the crown guard but ask him first how to proceed. Carpe Diem Cats
