beano2004 Posted March 12, 2012 Report Share Posted March 12, 2012 Hey I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as I know that there have been several different people that have made the correct date wheels for the 2893 GMT for the Panerai 63/29/23 to name a few. I know that Taka also was making some however he has closed shop or is no longer making them. Any other suggestions on where I can find a date wheel for my 23a project? Not even when they were available from recent crop of 2892/2893 DW makers, like Leo, Taka etc. No disrespect to any of them, but the method their markers were using a slightly thicker sort of plastic overlay on top of the existing ETA DW would create extra thickness. This will ultimately cause 2/3 of them stuck under the dial (2893) or under the top of Soprod9040 PR plate (2892+PR). So no need to track these down G, if you can find some of the now long discontinued Lello's or Finepic's from few years back ('05-'07) these are the ones to go for as most of them worked just fine. Its the last piece to the puzzle but i refuse to do anything with the build until i have the correct date wheel in hand. Thanks Again. ar0401 Posted March 13, 2012 Report Share Posted March 13, 2012 I have successfully fitted new 29M date wheel from asian 2836-2 to 2893-2 movement for updating 29M.
