correctime
Many Breitlings have appealed to me but I've never went after them due to their size. At 39mm this one fits my preferrence for size. How acurrate (or not) does this look to those who know their Breitlings. Thanks for the input guys. I know this isn't a TD on any of the primary forums but it's the only one of it's kind I've found to be offered anywhere. http://www.kuvarsitwatch.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=30471
rogerthat
It is a quartz chronograph so it will never be accurate or function like the gen
krpster
It is a quartz chronograph so it will never be accurate or function like the gen That actually isn't an entirely true statement. Many Breitling models were / is / are available with a Quartz movements, including the Colt Chronograph. The Transocean had a B53 quartz http://www.breitling...marine_131.html The new Colt Chronograph II has a B73 quartz http://www.breitling...marine_253.html Last but not least the plain old Colt Chronograph Superquartz with B73 movement Looks like the one you linked is trying to look like the one above. Overall it seems close in appearance but it does looks as though the quality of the build is questionable. All comes down to the price I guess. rogerthat
Oh thank you for posting I am sorry about that, I knew they had quartz models but didn't think the chrono models were quartz
andreww
A rep that does not use the same movement as the gen will always be a poor rep. In this case notice that the subdials are more inboard than on the gen. Also note that the gen has two chrono hands while the rep only has one. This is a big giveaway. The build quality on this one is not very good either, most notably the blobby pearl, non AR'd mineral crystal and inaccurate crown & pushers. On the bright side, its only $105 and the quartz movement will last forever. If you like it, go for it!
