Hi, new to the world of reps. Ive been in touch with BK the past few days and have decided to send payment to purchase a DSSD from him. My only question is, is it recommended to have him seal the HRV and pressure test it. With this watch my only real issue is how wet can it get it? Obviously diving is not in the cards but i dont want it getting screwed up. Im an LEO so i dont wear anything nice to work but when im home or banging around id be wearing the DSSD. Sold all my gens last year be ause of lack of interest. Just looking for a quality casual watch and i think this will fit the bill. Any help would be appreciated.

The modder/watch tech named "Vaccum" on this forum will pressure test your watch to 10ATM for 40 bucks.

Great insurance.

Quality replicas of diver watches can be perfectly waterproof. Just dont blindly trust them to be so. every replica is a unique case. What if the guy who built your watch made 100 reps that day, and left a gasket out of 3 of those by accident. you get one of those three. Whoops.

Dont pay mind to the big ballers who say you can't snorkel with a rep. Hell, those guys say you can't even dive with a gen Submariner. No enough depth rating! Whatever ;)

Thanks guys, isnt what BK does? part of insuring that things are properly assembled. Forgive my ignorance if im wrong.

Altho I respect BK for his dedication, skill and honesty, I can not speak for him regarding what he does and does NOT do to his watches. I do not think he pressure tests them. I do not know for certain.

You need to ask him.
